Chances are, you're probably not consuming enough fibre. The average daily fibre intake in the UK is only half the recommended 30g.
This is a problem. Fibre acts as a direct food source for your microbiome and improves the environment within your gut. Without enough fibre, your gut microbiome is severely prohibited.
But suddenly increasing fibre intake can lead to some uncomfortable side effects. Bloating, gas and constipation often put people off eating the amount of fibre they should. These side effects are because the community of gut bacteria, which break down fibre, are not used it.
Gradually increasing your fibre intake allows your gut bacterial community to adapt. The Fibre Plan allows you to gradually increase your fibre intake to train your gut microbiome and reduce the risk of side effects.
How does The Fibre Plan work?
You will receive 4 pouches of high-fibre breakfast topper, one for each week. In week 1, you will add 1 teaspoon of the breakfast topper to your breakfast. In week 2, you'll progress to 2 teaspoons, and so on, until in week 4, you're adding 4 teaspoons of fibre-rich topper to your breakfast. In week 4, you'll be adding over 5g of fibre to your breakfast, the amount of fibre widely cited to bring about positive health benefits.
What ingredients are in The Fibre Plan?
The Fibre Plan contains both insoluble and soluble fibres, as well as prebiotics. The ingredients do not have a strong taste, making them suitable for adding to any breakfast.
